The Team:
The Diabetes Centre (NW Region) provides a multi-disciplinary approach to the management of diabetes using the services of the Diabetes Centre, Diabetes Education, Endocrinology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Podiatry and Clinical Psychology to meet inpatient and outpatient needs.
The Role:
The North West Regional Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist - Diabetes to join their team. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will:
Provide specialist nursing care and education to clients with diabetes across acute, subacute and primary health pathways
Provide specialist advice and support to clients, health professionals and other internal and external stakeholders
Work within a multidisciplinary team

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 64 hours per fortnight, commencing from 1 October 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Credentialed with the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA)
- Member of the ADEA or other relevant professional organisation(s)
- Holds, or is working towards, a relevant postgraduate qualification
