Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialised mental health care to paediatric inpatients, including assessments, therapeutic engagement, and trauma-informed interventions within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Support leadership and resource coordination, assisting senior nursing and psychiatric staff in managing care delivery and team operations.
  • Ensure high-quality, consumer-centred care, maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and adhering to clinical standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to team culture and leadership, helping build a collaborative, positive environment and supporting policy implementation and clinical governance.
  • Promote safety and quality, identifying clinical risks, participating in safety initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement in care outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
  • Holds or is working towards relevant post-graduate qualifications in mental health or paediatric nursing
