Role Harvey's Strategic Business Development Leads are skilled lawyers who leverage their legal expertise to help clients understand how Harvey's AI solutions can transform legal workflows.
They work alongside Account Executives, supporting sales and go-to-market strategies.
We are seeking a Japan-speaking Strategic Business Development Lead, based in our London office.
The ideal candidate is fluent in Japanese, has practiced law in Japan, and understands local legal practices and market dynamics.
This role involves serving as a bridge between our technology and regional legal professionals.
Your responsibilities include building relationships with legal professionals, demonstrating how Harvey's AI can address their needs, advising on adoption strategies, leading product demos, identifying impactful opportunities, collaborating on regional marketing content, and providing market insights to enhance Harvey's reputation in the region.
What You Have Qualified to practice law in Australia or Japan, or equivalent legal education and experience in the Japanese legal market.
Fluent in Japanese and English.
At least 3 years of legal practice experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team, preferably in corporate law, litigation, or regulatory matters.
Understanding of German legal processes and challenges faced by legal professionals.
Strong communication, presentation skills, and executive presence.
Commercial acumen and curiosity about AI's impact on legal services.
Customer-facing or business development experience is a plus.
Additional Information Location: Sydney, NSW (Hybrid with flexibility).
Work eligibility: Must have valid Australian work rights; visa sponsorship is not available.
