The Role – Associate Structural Engineer (7–12 Years' Experience)This is an exciting opportunity for a structural engineer who is ready to step into an Associate-level role.
You'll balance technical excellence with leadership, client engagement, and business development responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include: Leading the design and delivery of structural solutions across commercial, residential, education, and healthcare sectors Driving client and stakeholder engagement, developing trusted relationships, and representing the business at industry forums Supporting business development through networking, proposal preparation, and repeat client work Overseeing project teams, mentoring engineers, and contributing to the technical growth of the group Ensuring designs, documentation, and reports meet technical, quality, and compliance standards Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, architects, and contractors to deliver innovative and practical outcomes What You'll Need Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Chartered status desirable)Proven technical capability across concrete, steel, and timber structures Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to engage, present, and influence stakeholders effectively Experience in managing and delivering projects from design through to construction phase services Proficiency with design software (ETABS, RAM, RAPT, Space Gass) and familiarity with Revit Excellent communication, leadership, and business development acumen Australian permanent residency (required)This Role Would Suit: A Senior Structural Engineer ready to step into a leadership and client-facing Associate role A technically capable professional with strong interpersonal skills who thrives on building relationships Someone who wants to combine engineering expertise with business development opportunities in a supportive, flexible environment Apply below in strict confidence or contact Harry Presdee on 0423 051 339 to discuss further.
