About the role
Our Casual Library Officers work across both Unley and Goodwood Libraries, delivering exceptional frontline customer service and contributing to a welcoming environment for all visitors.
They support a wide range of library programs for children, youth, and adults, assist with the operation of our Toy Libraries, and conduct one-on-one Tech Help sessions to support digital literacy in the community.
About you
You are an organised and proactive team member who thrives in a dynamic environment.
You enjoy working with the public, have a high level of initiative and can deliver timely and accurate information with minimal supervision.
To succeed in this role, you will bring

A passion for delivering exceptional service to a customer base with high expectations.
A customer-focused mindset, with the ability to provide helpful support and advice.
An interest in supporting library programs, including digital literacy and children's activities.
Flexibility to work across both Unley and Goodwood Libraries on a 7-day roster, including Thursday evenings, weekends, and on short notice.
Proficiency in using a wide variety of IT systems, devices, and software.
Previous experience and / or qualifications in the public library sector (employment / volunteering / work placement).
