Company Overview

Flyte Extruded Plastics is the largest custom sheet extruder in Australasia, supplying the fabrication, thermoforming, and printing markets. With over 40 years of history, Flyte specialises in extruding polyolefin and styrene-based resins for rigid plastic sheet applications. They pride themselves as being a privately owned local manufacturer with the ability to supply custom plastic sheets within short lead times. Flyte Extruded Plastics is seeking a highly motivated and organised Office Manager to join their team.

Role Overview

Based in Adelaide and reporting to the Managing Director, the Office Manager is a critical role that contributes to the overall efficiency of the organisation by overseeing day-to-day operations with a key focus on bookkeeping and accounting.

Key responsibilities will include:-

  • Participating in the annual budget planning whilst actively managing creditor & debtors to ensure the efficient management of cash;
  • Working with the organisation's accounting and shareholder contacts to provide accurate financial reporting on the performance of the business;
  • Managing the development and execution of a comprehensive management & audit program to ensure best quality products and customer service;
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the effectiveness of the organisation's resources;
  • Supporting the recruitment, development, and engagement of staff along with payroll and leave management;
  • Supporting relevant ad-hoc business requirements as necessary.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience

This role will suit a proactive individual who consistently displays initiative, possesses excellent organisation skills and has strong experience with bookkeeping and basic accounting. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, the ability to build and nurture stakeholder relationships, along with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. Previous experience with MYOB and Salesforce is highly desirable. Flexible working arrangements can be negotiated for the right candidate.
