This hands-on role is ideal for someone skilled in managing business and project cash flow, ensuring timely invoicing and payments, and driving the financial operations of the business.
The Role: As our Management Accountant, working closely with the General Manager you will oversee day-to-day financial processes and be responsible for the overall management and efficiency of our financial systems.
You'll play a key role in supporting the business by: Managing all aspects of financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and payroll.
Monitoring and optimising cash flow across both projects and the broader business.
Ensuring all invoices are sent promptly and payments are received on time.
Maintaining full compliance with ATO requirements, including BAS and other tax obligations.
Preparing and compiling timely, accurate End of Month financial reports for Senior Management, Directors, and other key stakeholders, offering clear insights and detailed analysis to support decision making.
Developing and enhancing finance processes and systems to support business growth.
Collaborating with management and advisors to deliver financial insights and recommendations.
Managing plant, equipment, and inventory from an accounting perspective.
Working closely with external accountants, bookkeepers, and tax agents.
About You: The ideal candidate will have: Strong experience as a Management Accountant, particularly in environments where cash flow management and financial system ownership are essential Extensive knowledge of compliance requirements, specifically ATO, BAS, and tax payments.
Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver detailed End of Month reporting to Senior Management and Directors.
A proven ability to implement and improve finance processes, supported by proficiency with financial tools and systems.
Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with keen attention to detail.
Confidence working both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider leadership team.
Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
CA, CPA or MBA qualifications highly regarded.
