This role builds on your current capability and positions you to step further into the market – taking ownership of outcomes, supporting business growth across solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS), and building trusted relationships with clients.
You'll balance technical depth with commercial awareness, contributing to both project delivery and new opportunities.
This includes seeing projects through from concept to commissioning, identifying improvements, and championing innovation.
As a future-facing leader, you'll guide junior engineers, contribute to our growing technical reputation, and help scale our impact in the renewable space.
Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver technical work across solar, wind, and BESS projects, from early feasibility through to commissioning.
Support market-facing activities – from scoping to proposals and client engagement – helping position Middleton Group as a trusted delivery partner.
Identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement, and commercial growth.
Plan, track and deliver projects or sub-tasks to time, quality, and budget.
Actively mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge across the team.
Represent engineering discipline in internal and external forums, including client meetings and industry events.
Technical Expertise Subject Matter Expert in at least one renewable energy area (solar, wind, BESS).
Broad understanding of related systems (e.g.
protection, controls, SCADA, grid compliance).
Seeks out new learnings and proactively shares insights to elevate team performance.
Initiative & Ownership Operates with autonomy, making considered decisions and taking accountability for outcomes.

Education & Experience: Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) electrical with 2+ years of experience (or equivalent).
Strong background in renewable energy, ideally across solar, wind, or BESS projects.
Location Sydney or Melbourne.
