We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join a specialised team within our Commercial and Corporate group.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting one of our most experienced account managers with her specialised book of professional services clients
Your prime responsibility will be to cultivate strong client relationships and provide exceptional client service, including
- ongoing client engagement,
- meticulous insurance programme administration,
- provision of technical advice to clients and
- active participation in business development initiatives.
You will also collaborate with various departments within Marsh and support the rest of the small team if required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support an account manager to maintain and nurture the portfolio.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by understanding and responding promptly to needs.
- Implement renewal and broking strategies tailored to client requirements.
- Assist with claims to act in the client interests and ensure timely claims settlement.
- Foster sound working relationships with the specialist insurers and participate in negotiations.
- Oversee renewals, credit control, and draft client reports .
- Identify and act upon new business opportunities, whether new or expanded.
- Introduce new policies to clients when appropriate.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, quality practices, and established systems and procedures.
- Comply fully with Marsh errors and omissions avoidance policy.
- Ensure timely and accurate document production, reporting, and processing.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Insurance Experience: A minimum of 3 years in general insurance broking.
- Communication: clear and effective communication skills.
- Autonomous Work: Comfortable working independently within a multi-skilled team.
- Pressure Management: Proven ability to work to deadlines and effect time management
- Client Focus: Strong dedication to client service, with a knack for anticipating and surpassing client needs.
- Self-Motivation: Self-driven and results-oriented, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving: Proficient in problem-solving and creative thinking.
- Confidentiality: Handles sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Administration: Possesses sound business administration skills.
- Software Proficiency: Intermediate knowledge of Winbeat and Sunrise.
Educational and Professional Requirements:
- Insurance Qualification: Holds a Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification or higher.
Key Competencies:
- Client Service: Consistently provide excellent technical, administrative, and consulting support to clients, with a strong focus on client needs and delivering high-quality work.
- Change: Possess an in-depth understanding of factors impacting service delivery, including awareness of environmental, financial, regulatory, and social factors affecting company and client operations. Familiarity with internal company technological capabilities is essential.
- Working Relationships / Teamwork: Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, external clients, and broader industry segments. Contribute to the team's success and support team goals.
- Planning and Organization: Establish effective courses of action for yourself and others to ensure efficient and timely work completion.
- Drive & Self-Motivation: Actively seek and act on opportunities and calculated risks. Demonstrate a willingness to take on increased responsibilities and the ability to act independently with appropriate reference back to a manager or supervisor.
