Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) operates 147 primary and secondary schools across the Archdiocese of Sydney educating more than 70,000 students. SCS aims to provide a holistic education that nurtures the intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional growth of each student.

SCS is seeking an accomplished Executive Director to lead its educational mission in collaboration with the Archbishop of Sydney and Board of Sydney Catholic Schools Limited. The Executive Director will champion SCS vision and mission, fostering thriving Catholic communities through excellence in teaching and learning. The Executive Director will lead various aspects crucial to the success of SCS, including promoting the Catholic life of schools, implementing strategic plans, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning environments, managing a large workforce of over 10,000 staff, and maintaining compliance with legislative requirements.

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a compelling vision and dedication to the mission of the Church and Catholic education. The appointee will be a highly accomplished leader with strategic planning abilities, and proficiency in management with strong commercial acumen. Strong communication, negotiation, and compliance skills are essential, along with a commitment to staff development and organisational culture.

The successful applicant will hold a valid Working with Children Check and receive a clear National Criminal History Check.
