My client is a leading commercial real estate financier & investor based in Sydney CBD. They manage several billion dollars on behalf of institutional and high-net-worth investors.

Due to an internal promotion, a position has opened up for a talented Director. This position is responsible for the effective execution of various transactions across senior debt, mezzanine debt and equity.


Your responsibilities will also involve overseeing and managing the analyst/associate team to ensure effective, accurate, and timely delivery of analysis and investment papers.


This is an ideal opportunity for a talented property finance professional looking for a senior role with a leading real estate financier with a strong focus on transaction execution and people management.


Upon successful hire, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Management and oversight of analysts/associates, including sign-off on prepared information memorandum, terms sheets, variations, drawdown, and distribution requests.
  • Management and oversight of all aspects of transactions from the execution of Indicative Term Sheets through to financial close and ultimate repayment, including but not limited to:
  • Effectively leveraging support resources, including analysts & associates and internal legal, to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Review documentation produced by analysts & associates to ensure client readiness.
  • Where appropriate, write accurate information memorandums that effectively market our offer to clients.
  • Ensuring effective management of the credit approval process, including management of internal and external stakeholders to meet agreed timeframes.
  • Professionally and efficiently addressing concerns or queries from clients, third parties and key stakeholders.
  • Promptly escalate issues as required.
  • Ensuring adherence to internal systems, processes, and policies at all times.
  • Directly or indirectly assisting with the delivery of investments, including initial due diligence, deal assessment, terms sheets, investment overviews, settlements, ongoing monitoring, and PCG attendance.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to analysts/associates to further develop skills and capabilities.
  • Contribute to overarching strategy development for the team.
  • Compile and share industry knowledge, market intelligence and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and inform strategy.
  • Create, maintain and manage relationships with existing clients (corporate/private, institutional), focusing on building and sustaining trust and engagement.
  • Maintain relationships with the major banks' product, relationship, transaction and credit specialists.
  • Maintain a strong presence at industry and related events.
  • 10+ years of Property Finance experience.
  • High level of analysis, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problemsolving with ability to identify issues and develop solutions.
  • Strong teamwork philosophy.
  • Strong commercial acumen and business partnering skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial modelling principals
  • Accurate, highquality analysis and reporting on a timely basis.
  • Build strong relationships based on trust and respect.
  • Persuade and influence the thoughts and actions of others.
  • Articulate and persuasively present critical arguments.
  • Negotiate and influence successful outcomes.
