About Our Client

Our client is a leading Australian organisation, specializing in technology-driven, automated financial and compliance solutions. With a core focus on mitigating financial risks, our client is at the forefront of providing these innovative solutions nationally. Thanks to a consistent period of sequential growth, combined with exciting scope for growth within the NSW market, they are now seeking a new Commercial Director for their NSW business.

About the Role

As Commercial Director, your key responsibility will be to identify and qualify sales opportunities and convert these opportunities into new clients to achieve the financial sales target. Reporting through to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Commercial Director will display an entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrate their proven track record of sales excellence, ability to meet/exceed quotas, and taking the business to the next level. Using strategic thinking, the Commercial Director will create long-term sales plans and execute on them with our clients' prospects. This individual contributor role demands a high level of commercial acumen, targeting C-Level Executives, particularly at a CFO and CPO level, with a focus on working with Top 50 ASX listed organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build out the NSW business, with delivery and revenue targets focused on delivering growth from your targeted and refined customer base
  2. Build strong cross-functional relationships at a C-Level executive level, achieving set sales targets and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction
  3. Engage in consultative sales negotiations with C-Level Executives
  4. Identify and qualify sales opportunities through prospecting, lead follow-up, networking, and working with the Marketing team
  5. Conduct client presentations including proposals, bids, results
  6. Negotiate contracts and successfully navigate prospect's complex internal approval processes
  7. Drive the sales process working collaboratively with functional peers (Operations, Marketing, Product owners) to successfully win an opportunity
  8. Proposals to be developed and tabled within approved price framework
About You

Ideally 10-15 years of overall B2B software sales experience, particularly in complex selling situations or equivalent. A strong track record of delivering solution-based sales results via problem-solving & influencing; Demonstrated creation & delivery of simple & focused customer-driven strategies for growth. Record of sustained and significant quota over-achievement. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented collaborative environment within a competitive market. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated experience selling to CFO's and CPO's. Experience working independently, able to build a client base from scratch. Highly developed selling, customer relations, and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with C-level executives, Procurement, Legal, and line of business representatives. Ambitious and proven sales hunter.
