The opportunity

A Victorian Local Council is seeking an experienced ICT Procurement Specialist to manage the procurement activities and ongoing maintenance for the organisations ICT contracts.

This is an opportunity to put your own stamp on setting up processes and frameworks to develop the ICT procurement function within the council.

Role specifications

Responsible for the full procurement lifecycle, from category planning to sourcing strategy, tendering, execution, contract management, and relationship management for the ICT team and floating Procurement support to other areas of the business.Advises on the business case for alternative sourcing models. Advises on policy and procedures covering tendering, the selection of suppliers and procurement.Oversees and measures the fulfillment of contractual obligations. Negotiates variations and supports stakeholders to ensure continual improvements are identified and implemented.Writing up briefing notes, delivery of presentations, writing specifications documentation with the support of Subject Matter Experts (SME's). About you Demonstrated experience procuring and managing IT- related professional services, hardware, software and cloud solutions.Outstanding interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills and ability to conduct presentations.Experience in leading multiple resources, including the Business Support Officer, and ability to influence key stakeholders.Experience in government or local council is highly desirable or similar environment.Extensive experience in Procurement, Contract Management or Vendor Management is required.
