The Randstad Procurement, Contracts and Supply Chain team is seeking a Category Procurement Specialist to work for a global airline.

About the role:
  • Develop and implement category strategies to optimise procurement processes and achieve cost savings goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align category management strategies with organisational objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations to identify potential cost reduction opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and service level expectations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact category management strategies.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on category performance, including key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and risk mitigation efforts.About you:
    • Experienced professional with a proven track record in category management and similar industry/category
    • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms and conditions with suppliers.
    • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
    • Strategic thinker
    • Analytical mindset with the capability to conduct market analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive data-driven decisions.
    • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and driving continuous improvement within the category.
