W Brisbane located at 81 North Quay, Brisbane City is hiring an Event Planning Executive. In this role, you will be a dynamic individual joining a high performing team. You will assist the Event Manager or their designate in the day-to-day operations whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism.

The Event Planning Executive will be:

  • Responsible for management and planning of meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions from initial handover from the Sales team until departure, including the final settlement of account.
  • Reporting to the Director of Sales & Distribution, this role will focus on event planning and management to ensure W Brisbane is the hotel events market leader in Brisbane.
  • This role directly drives revenue and increases market share across the segments of rooms, B&F, events, group, FIT, spa and other revenue generating sources in line with W Hotels and Marriott International's brand standards
  • This role requires high energy and passion with a focus on conversion and event planning.
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent networking and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and can do attitude
  • Ability to execute and deliver on time every time
