An excellent opportunity has arisen for an inclusive and dynamic leader to join the City of Monash in the role of Manager Corporate Governance.


Reporting to the Director of City Services, you will provide high level expert advice and direction to all levels, supporting the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Leadership Team, and the broader organisation.

We are looking for a high performing professional to lead a multi-disciplinary team.

You will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of governance frameworks, policies and procedures to ensure transparency, accountability and ethical decision-making both within and outside our organisation.


You will have experience in managing legislative functions such as Code of Conduct of Councillors, Freedom of Information enquiries, address Human Rights and Privacy matters, facilitate Ombudsman cases and act as the Principal Officer for Protected Disclosure.


You will use your proven strategic leadership and sound knowledge of corporate governance to perform effectively within a politically sensitive environment.

Your strong understanding of the Local Government Act 2020, highly developed communication and relationship building skills and your passion for 'good governance' strengthens your commitment to this exciting and fulfilling role.
