The role:

As a key member of Virgin Australia's team, you will work from Brisbane HQ in a job share capacity (3 days per week) to assist the General Manager of Audit and Risk in developing and implementing a robust Risk Management Framework.

Collaborating closely with various business units, you will ensure that risk management becomes seamlessly integrated into existing processes, aligning closely with the strategic objectives of the organisation.

Your responsibilities also encompass delivering timely, accurate, and insightful risk reporting and analysis to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the Audit & Risk and Compliance Committee (ARCC).

You will ensure you have a clear line of communication.

In addition, you will:

Assist the maintenance and development of an effective risk management system to capture information, support monitoring and facilitate reporting.

Deliver appropriate education and training programs that encourage consistent, effective risk management programs.
Continually seek opportunities to improve risk management including integration into corporate, commercial, and operational processes.

Facilitate risk assessments with all levels of management and staff to identify, rate, and address the key strategic, financial, commercial, , and project risks across the organisation.

Foster establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with all levels within Virgin Australia.
What you need to be successful: Relevant risk management training and qualifications (e.g.

Certified Practicing Risk Manager)Working knowledge and extensive demonstrated experience in large corporations of Enterprise Risk Management and key concepts such as Risk Appetite (5 years).

Understanding of Risk Management concepts and standards including COSO, ISO3100 Demonstrated ability to influence and engage senior management and executive levels.

Strong business acumen with ability to adapt to new and complex situations Ability to work independently and within a team Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills, with an eye for detail Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Visio)

Experience with data analytic/visualization tools (ex:
Power BI, Power Query) an asset Demonstrated experience in engaging with Boards and Executive Committees.
