We are seeking experienced Care Workers to join our team at Bethanie Bert England Lodge, our aged care home located in Rockingham.
Bert England Lodge (BEL) is a 44 bed facility offering dementia care as well as respite, located close to Rockingham General Hospital.
As a Care Worker, you will work closely with our residents to improve their quality of life by assisting with day-to-day activities, ensuring their safety and well-being is prioritised.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team, and as such you will be skilled in building positive professional relationships with both residents and team members.
We have currently have two positions available - please let us know your preference when you apply:- 1 permanent part-time opportunity, working 30 hours per fortnight on Night Shift (11pm
- 7am)
- 1 casual opportunity: AM, PM and Night shifts
About the Role
- Assess care plans, and ensure resident needs are met
- Ensure services (including food, laundry, personal care, domestic and interest) are delivered in a timely and safe manner
- Ensure all personal care tasks (including toileting & showering) are delivered with dignity and respect
- Ensure resident rooms and the facility is maintained to an appropriate standard
About You
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or equivalent
- Previous experience working in an aged care or hospital environment would be an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well as a team and also independently
- Must be able to commit to training and buddy shift requirements
- A willingness to uphold the mission, vision and values of The Bethanie Group
- A current police clearance and willing to obtain required vaccinations
