About the Role

We are seeking experienced and passionate Care Aides to join our Aged Care Team. As a Care Aide, you will deliver exceptional care and support to our clients, enhancing and encouraging participation in their own care to maintain their independence, where possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, toileting, and other support such as medication assistance, meal preparation, domestic assistance, and social support in the community.
  • Follow a predetermined schedule, travelling from home to home, and having unrestricted access to a vehicle and the ability to follow a digital schedule and care plan autonomously, via a mobile app.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure high-quality care and support to our clients.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC, or Disability is highly desirable, although not essential.
  • Relevant care worker experience is required, with a minimum of 3 months for those with a relevant Certificate, and 6+ months for those without.
  • Experience working in a home care/community setting is highly desirable.
  • A valid Drivers' License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle which is appropriately insured and in good condition, is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills are essential.
  • Align to Silverchain Groups COVID-19 vaccination policy which requires evidence of vaccination against COVID-19, or evidence of an authorised medical exemption.
