Your role


You will lead and supervise a team of caseworkers and work in collaboration with the NSW Police and NSW Health to provide coordinated services to vulnerable children, young people, and families.


You will lead by example and demonstrate the principles of the Joint Child Protection Response Program and work to meet program objectives.

You will value interagency partnership, workforce diversity and prioritise safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and young people.


You will ensure that children and young people remain the focus of assessments and make decisions, to ensure they are protected from further trauma and that they receive protective, therapeutic, and other support services as determined.


  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Welfare or a related discipline
  • Experience leading and managing teams in complex and challenging situations
  • A demonstrated understanding of trauma informed care and the impact poverty, trauma and violence has on children and their families
  • A valid drivers licence
  • National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 201
  • Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
