Are you passionate about fishing and brand promotion? Do you have a knack for organising successful events and building strong relationships with influencers and partners? Shimano Australia Fishing is looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to take on the role of Events and Sponsorship Coordinator.

As the Events and Sponsorship Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our brand's presence and reputation in the fishing community. You will be responsible for managing and evaluating sponsorship opportunities, recruiting and supporting sponsored anglers, and ensuring our brand is prominently represented at various events and on charters. Your creative skills will be put to use reporting on the events and informing the team of the successes and achievements of anglers and influencers, while your organisational abilities will help manage product allocations and sponsorship correspondence.

Reporting to Content & Brand Marketing Manager, the primary objectives of this role include but are not limited to:

Sponsored Anglers

Proactively assess existing and potential sponsorship opportunities to promote the brand and develop methods for evaluating return on investment. Identify and recruit new sponsored anglers and influencers. Review and determine contracts for anglers, including coordination with the warehouse for gear supply. Report on the success of product promotion with sponsored media and anglers. Share provided content with the broader team for use.

Events and Charters

Increase brand awareness at attended and partnered events through product displays, signage visibility, angler participation, and additional online promotion. Attend and manage events as agreed with the management team to ensure Shimano brand representation. Maintain good working relationships with all event partners and charters (+). Work closely with dealers to ensure all stock orders are shipped correctly and on time for event and charter usage. Attend at least events annually including trade shows and promotional events.

Sponsorship Content & Allocations

Oversee incoming content (videos, imagery, YouTube features, articles) for all sponsored anglers and influencers. Update all internal documents and monitor content supply for promotional usage. Manage the supply, sale, and return of all Shimano products supplied on a sponsorship basis. Manage the annual budget on spend.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

High level of computer literacy and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel Prior knowledge of Pronto ERP (highly regarded) Previous experience and confidence in communicating with customers, influencers and ambassadors Editing ability, Photoshop or similar for both Images and Video (advantageous) Attention to detail is essential Ability to prioritise, multitask and manage competing demands. Satisfactory data analytical skills, with the ability to report and interpret financials. Candidates demonstrating extensive knowledge of fishing industry and Australian Fishing Market will be highly regarded
