About the position
Council's Arts and Culture Department is looking for a passionate, dynamic and experienced Coordinator, Libraries Engagement and Innovation.

The position will be responsible for providing leadership to develop, plan and deliver a wide range of engaging library events, including activities, literacy and learning programs, which will enhance the lives of residents in the community.


The main responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting the image and profile of Frankston City Libraries through engaging communications and membership programs to increase retention and activity of library customers and attract new members;
  • Leading, motivating and managing a diverse, high performing team to deliver dynamic learning experiences and opportunities that demonstrate leading library and community development trends; and
  • Engaging the community with the rejuvenation of the libraries as contemporary hubs of education, inclusion, entertainment and delight.
This is a full time position.

  • Have welldeveloped management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team that is undertaking a range of diverse activities;
  • Keep up to date with issues and changes in the role of libraries and community;
  • Be a creative, positive, energised and enthusiastic leader with a strong commitment to building relationships, customer service and delivering quality outcomes;
  • Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • Be a professional with a high level ability to work collaboratively across all staff levels to achieve positive results and successful outcomes.
