Sales manager (Business Development Manager) - Fire Industry

As a true sales professional, your job would be to take advantage of our good foundation and propel our business.

Over the last 10 years, we built a business that is well reputed with robust systems in place. We are now looking for somebody with strong networks that would like to give their customers the highest level of service.

Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reporting results directly to managing director
  • Manage sales budget ensuring targets are achieved for sales and profit
  • Establish and build strong customer relations
  • Optimise the customers buying experience and grow network of customers
  • Promote the company values and contribute to a positive culture
  • Coordinate with operations team to ensure customer expectations are met

Skills and experience

The successful applicant will be able to evidence:

  • Proven selling experience in the fire industry (min five years)
  • Have an established network in the industry
  • Strong understanding of the industry with proven experience within the fire protection space
  • Ability to quote for tenders and develop proposals that meet expected gross profit margins
  • Ability to evidence previous sales success examples
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport
  • Demonstrable knowledge of testing standards and safety compliance products
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong computer literacy with understanding of relevant job management systems
