The Role
The Asset Officer will play a pivotal role in assessing our properties, ensuring that they are safe, well maintained, and compliant with all relevant regulations and requirements.
Concentrating on both planned maintenance and the assessment of the greater portfolio for future decision making, you will focus on portfolio analysis with a - 5 year plan in mind.
Working within set timeframes and budgets will be an important aspect of this role and you will need to ensure that all works completed comply with quality assurance standards.
You will be liaising regularly with internal and external stakeholders, building and sustaining positive relationships with technical consultants and contractors, and responding to their needs in a timely manner.
About You
To be successful for this role, you will have a genuine passion for wanting to support vulnerable people in our community.
Essential Criteria:
- An understanding and appreciation of the importance of responsive and efficient asset management for the community.
- Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a caring and empathetic nature.
- Confidence in liaising with various stakeholders including vulnerable people.
- Previous experience working on MS Office programs including Excel.
- Green/White WHS Construction Induction Card (or ability to obtain).
- A current driver's licence.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in the social/community housing industry.
- Certificate IV or above in a relevant trade, ideally Building and/or Carpentry.
- Experience or knowledge of property management.
Please note that satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client related responsibilities are required to provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
