The Position

St John of God Hawkesbury District Health **is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW providing acute community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. Our healthcare facility is operated by St John of God Health Care and provides public patient services under a public-private partnership with the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.


A unique opportunity has become available for a suitably experienced strategic and innovative leader to join our Engineering Department on a permanent full time basis in the role of
Facilities Manager.


Working within our friendly and dynamic team, as the Facilities Manager you will be able to showcase your existing skills and experience across facilities management by providing strategic leadership and operational management of our St John of God Hawkesbury District Health Engineering Department.

This will be in conjunction with the regulatory and legislative requirements of a health care facility while ensuring all buildings, plant and equipment and the surrounding environment are effective and operational.


To be considered Applicants must hold formal qualifications in Engineering or similar with demonstrated experience in Facilities Management in commercial, hospital or Health Care establishment/s.

Selection criteria

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Engineering or other relevant formal qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience in Facility Management in a commercial, hospital or Health Care establishment.
  • Project management knowledge and experience
  • A demonstrated ability to coordinate and manage the logistics and operational requirements of a health care facility.
  • A positive attitude to change and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills, including the ability to manage, inspire and motivate team members.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to others in a professional manner.
  • Excellent time management, productivity, attention to detail and prioritisation skills.
  • Computer skills, proficient in the use of standard office software packages and engineering works management software.
  • Proven capacity to innovate and implement change.
