About the role:
Join Aurizon's Inbound Supply and Procurement Team supporting the business in establishing, maintaining and monitoring a simplified, fit-for-purpose governance management framework that supports a cost competitive service delivery

  • Support the establishment and maintenance of the governance framework, including the rules over policy, standard, procedure and guideline content, as well as defining and embedding appropriate accountabilities.
  • Support the management of change and dispensation processes over updates to the governance framework and, when required, maintain the communication of the governance framework to the front line.
  • Support the establishment, coordination and maintenance of a contemporary, riskbased compliance methodology including activities across the second line of defence to drive synergies, identify thematic issues and to reduce the compliance burden on the business.
  • Consolidate assurance outcomes across the second line of defence, and maintain a compliance reporting framework such that key issues from across the business can be readily escalated to management.
  • Where required, develop reports which may include Board and/or Committee papers.

About you:

  • Tertiary degree
  • Risk, assurance, governance or compliance related qualification or time served experience
  • Lean or Six Sigma awareness or experience
  • Awareness or experience of working with or maintaining operating models
  • Business and commercial acumen, able to take a whole of enterprise view.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication, with strong attention to detail, influencing and negotiating skills.
  • High level of conceptual, analytical and problemsolving with the ability to work through complex and challenging strategies and initiatives.
  • Document management and basic IT development.
  • Creativity and flexibility of thought, demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
  • Change management, stakeholder management and networking skills.
