About the Role
The HR Governance and Risk team aims to enhance governance practices and cultivate a risk-aware culture. The Specialist role involves supporting the execution of activities that enhance risk management capability and governance processes within the HR function. Reporting to the Manager HR Governance & Risk, this role collaborates with internal stakeholders across various departments to ensure effective oversight and governance in HR-related areas.
  • Reporting & monitoring of risk management activities for HR.
  • Overseeing & supporting positive assurance activities for compliance across HR processes, with a focus on payroll controls.
  • Execution of verification activities for HR SOX controls.
  • Overseeing the governance framework for HR documentation and HR intranet.
  • Advising content owners to ensure policies & documentation align with HR standards.
  • Coordination of reporting obligations such as HR's contribution to the Annual Reporting suite.

About You
- Proficient in interpreting HR policies, employment legislation & industrial instruments.
  • Experience with risk management frameworks & practices.
  • Knowledge of HR systems & processes, including payroll in complex businesses.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related discipline.
  • Ability to coordinate work across multiple groups.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

Location and Roster
This role offers flexibility to be based in Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide. Workdays are from Monday to Friday with flexible work options.
