Do you have significant experience in selling high-value ($5m - $100+m) industrial automation / materials handling solutions, either in warehouse automation, BHS, parcel or manufacturing systems?

Do you come from an Engineering background with Solutions design experience?

Our client operates both domestically and globally as a top 3 solutions provider in their respective markets.

To ensure they maintain market momentum, they are seeking a proven and ambitious solutions sales/solutions professional to join their well-established Australia team to drive continued growth in their most buoyant market segment.

Reporting directly to the Sales Engineering Group Lead, the solutions sales consultant will play a leading role for their customers at the concept stage and will work closely with the sales manager and sales engineers on activities regarding the project pre-contract phase to ensure a successful project sale

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the way for large bidding processes
  • Preparing sales proposals
  • Supporting customers during project implementation (ramp up)
  • Identifying and understanding customer needs
  • Mentoring junior sales engineering team members
  • Owning the technical and concept stage specifications in relation to the project
  • Directing the concept and sales project team, comprising all crucial disciplines for the sales stage (sales, engineering, simulation, service, planning HLC etc.)
About you

  • You will have a degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering or similar discipline.
  • You have a demonstrable track record of selling high value CapEx solutions/systems in BHS/airport systems, intralogistics/warehouse automation, parcelhandling or manufacturing systems.
  • You have excellent internal and external stakeholder engagement and communication skills and are adept in shaping the best sales team for each project.
  • You will have experience in systems design and a strong understanding of Autocad/Visio
  • You show high analytic ability and well developed negotiation skills
  • You have a creative and efficient approach to building professional client relationships
