Claims Recovery Assistant

The primary purpose of this role is to support the National Recoveries Unit to generate debt recovery income.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Identifying Third Party information to support achievement of recovery outcomes
  • Provide quality service to customers and service suppliers by raising payments when required
  • Delivering a consistent and positive customer experience to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure a timely and effective response to customer needs and the accurate processing of recovery claims
  • Receipt payments to claims as they are identified and inform file manager of activity
  • Assist team manager with additional activities as required

Important to your success:

  • Experience in a dynamic customer service organisation
  • Previous experience in a customer service role will be looked upon highly, but not mandated
  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands
  • Pay high attention to details by completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy
  • Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting and communication tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, combined with the ability to balance understanding, empathy and compassion with the best commercial outcome
