Seeking a Recovery & Support Specialist

We are looking for a Recovery & Support Specialist to provide expert guidance to our Claims team on matters related to returning to health and work. The role entails optimizing recovery outcomes within our portfolios and supporting Consultants in developing effective strategies to overcome barriers.

  • Ensure adherence to TAL policies and procedures to align with our claims philosophy.
  • Comply with external regulations and industry guidelines.
  • Drive a culture of continuous process improvement.
  • Contribute to company projects as needed.
  • Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.

Recovery Support Functions

  • Act as a subject matter expert in the field.
  • Support Claims Manager in effective communication with health practitioners.
  • Assist in analyzing medical reports and developing clear strategies for claims.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement recovery plans.
  • Engage with employers for return-to-work planning.
  • Ensure quality service delivery and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate across teams for best recovery practices.
  • Review quality of support service referrals.

Team Capability Development

  • Implement processes to identify claims at risk and remove barriers to successful outcomes.
  • Coach Consultants on medical and return-to-work matters.
  • Aid in capability enhancement across different areas.
  • Provide insights on recovery services and customer stories.
  • Deliver necessary training sessions.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to devise strategies to address complex issues.
  • Experience in disability management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in rehabilitation services.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
