The Sovereign Hill Museums Association is a not-for profit community-based organisation that includes: Sovereign Hill Outdoor Museum, Sovereign Hill Hotel, AURA and Narmbool, the Australian Centre for Rare Trades and Arts and the Australian Centre for Gold Rush Collections. It cares for a nationally and internationally significant collection of over 150,000 objects and protects the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the Victorian gold rush.

We are an Australian tourism icon that attracts some 500,000 visitors annually. The Outdoor Museum is internationally renowned as a living museum featuring rare trades, and programs and experiences that interpret a pivotal point in Australia's history. In all, some 350 staff work to bring our gold-rush story to life. They are supported by over 250 volunteers.

We have an exciting opportunity in a newly created role, for a part time Cyber Security Analyst. The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for planning, development and enhancement of cyber security controls and policies and promote cyber security awareness to mitigate risk across the organisation in accordance with the SHMA Cyber Security Roadmap. Working alongside Sovereign Hills' ICT and Leadership Team, you will develop and implement a risk based ICT/Cyber strategy, develop and enhance cyber security related policies and embed cyber conversations across the organisation. You will also be able to identify opportunities to enhance vulnerability identification and threat intelligence plans and processes.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Significant professional experience in a similar role within an organisation or in a consulting role, delivering demonstrated uplift in organisational cyber risk management.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management experience with all levels of an organisation.
  • Demonstrated strong inter-personal and written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence outcomes outside of direct reporting lines.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or equivalent.
  • Certification in an approved cyber security framework qualification.
