About The Role

Working in a busy, yet highly engaging environment at Adelaide Airport, the role of Aviation Trainer is responsible for the successful delivery and assessment of training and development to our front-line staff. With a strong focus on compliant outcomes that enable the highest levels of aviation security, the Aviation Trainer is also responsible for a number of related non accredited short courses and the relevant administration and academic care associated with the enrolled students.

By assisting the Training Manager to provide learning and development opportunities in the workplace, this role is crucial to ensure that our aviation screening staff have the correct knowledge, skills and behaviours to perform the legislative, procedural and organisational requirements of their roles.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilise your full toolbox of delivery methods that encompass a variety of learning needs and styles to plan, prepare and deliver aviation security screening focussed learning and development.
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of learning and assessment outcomes through review, feedback, collaboration and recommendations, identifying opportunities to embed customer service excellence.
  • Apply a continuous development approach to training delivery, taking corrective action when required to ensure training meets objectives, in collaboration with the Training Manager.
  • Promptly and thoroughly complete all required student management and administration tasks to ensure effective maintenance of records and resolution of any issues.
  • Maintain knowledge currency with all policies, procedures and legislative requirements associated with aviation screening.

About You

To guide your success in this role, you will demonstrate expertise in the effective delivery of training and assessment to adult learners in a variety of environments, coupled with a Cert IV in Training and Education (or higher). You will have a strong ability to adapt and pivot your delivery style to suit the needs of your learners, and can ensure that training meets the learning outcomes required in a highly regulated legislative environment. You're a proactive individual who can act autonomously to drive results, yet also thrive in a collaborative environment in which no two days are the same, with a strong skillset that enables you to effectively prioritise, plan and deliver.
