Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Type Rated Instructor to join our team at Qantas Group. As a Type Rated Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering training in A320 Full Flight Simulators, Procedural Trainers, and ground theory classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality training to students in A320 Full Flight Simulators, Procedural Trainers, and ground theory classrooms.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge, technical, and non-technical skills.
  • Embrace future training technology and modern techniques.
  • Develop and implement training programs to meet the needs of our students.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and training staff to ensure a cohesive and effective training program.
Requirements:
  • Australian CPL or ATPL (Aeroplane) qualification.
  • Instrument Rating endorsed with MEA, IAP 2D, and IAP 3D.
  • Airbus FBW Type Rating.
  • FIR or SIR, with IR A training endorsement.
  • High standard of proficiency.
  • Previous instructor experience in multi-crew aeroplane type rating training.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Inclusive and respectful leadership qualities.
  • Ability to foster a positive and caring training culture.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team.
  • High level of motivation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Civil Aviation Legislation applicable to jet transport operations and flight crew training and licensing.
  • In-depth understanding of Human Factors and non-technical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A320 Type Rating.
  • SIR with A320 TR training endorsement.
  • Experience in Regular Public Transport, multi-crew, narrow or wide-body jet aircraft operations.
