About the role


The Indigenous Careers and Programs Lead plays an integral part in supporting and embedding the strategic vision of Australia Posts Reconciliation Action Plan.

The role will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimised delivery across Indigenous early careers, emerging to senior executive leadership programs, embedding holistic employment and performance integration strategies and strong governance to enable sustainable Indigenous voice across the Australia Post enterprise.


What will you be doing?

  • Integral contribution supporting the strategic implementation of Australia Posts Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
  • Lead entire design and end to end delivery process of Indigenous Emerging Leaders Program and Senior Executive Leadership Program
  • Manage program budgets, contractual and program delivery reporting with service providers and consultants
  • Work with people and culture teams to develop competencies and roadmap to ensure successful and sustainable transition of Indigenous emerging and senior executive employees, graduates, and talent into permanent or promotional opportunities
  • Overseeing Indigenous voice governance, regulatory reporting related to RAP and employment matters
  • Assist National Indigenous Manager to develop and embed a cultural intelligence capability framework for enterprise, our employees, and onboarding delivery by approved service providers.

You will have:

  • Demonstrated expertise working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, and external agencies to build empowerment, employment opportunities and inclusion at a national level
  • Experience in developing and executing Indigenous Employment strategies, performance and holistic talent management initiatives, and growth initiatives for people at operational level and senior management
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating leader and frontline capability and performance sessions relating to employment, development, and engagement practices
  • Proven project management and entire end to end establishment of diverse national Indigenous early careers, emerging and senior executive leadership programs
  • Experience in developing Reconciliation Action Plan Working Groups and Indigenous Employee Networks
  • Experience in coaching key stakeholders, internal and external customers on best practices related to cultural importance protocols and practices, inclusion, and diversity initiatives.
