BESIX Watpac is committed to fostering a workplace where everyone is valued, supported, and respected. We are seeking an experienced National Indigenous Affairs Manager to join our team and contribute to our Reconciliation Action Plan.
The successful candidate will provide leadership, advice, and governance support on matters of Indigenous policy, employment, and engagement. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining key relationships with Traditional Owner groups, local Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities, social procurement organisations, and associated government agencies.
- Developing, delivering, and reporting on the BESIX Watpac Reconciliation Action Plan and action items.
- Supporting BESIX Watpac projects to deliver initiatives that support project targets for Indigenous participation and procurement.
- Supporting and providing input into project bids and tenders.
- Providing support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees at BESIX Watpac, including leadership of the BESIX Watpac Indigenous Staff Network.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an Indigenous relations role and demonstrated connection with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations. They will also have highly developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
