About our client:

He is a 30 year old man living with Autism, intellectual disability and Epilepsy. He lives in his own home in Greensborough with the support of 2:1 staffing 24/7.

He requires support with all aspects of daily living - including meals, personal care and person centered active support being our focus.


About the Opportunity As Residential House Supervisor you will:

Provide a high standard of physical and emotional care that addresses the needs of our participant who has an intellectual disability and other complex behaviors.

Mentor and supervise staff, delegate responsibilities and build a supportive team with a common goal to improve the outcomes for our participant.


Provide therapeutic care and support to maintain consistency across his supports day and night with the assistance of the day Team Leader.

You will play a key role in supporting him to develop independent living skills, engage in learning opportunities, and to be in the broader community

You will also work in partnership with a Multi-disciplinary team to lead the implementation of the CARE model and ensure a safe, homelike environment exists free from trauma, abuse and/or neglect.


Assist to drive the company culture and performance trough effective management and leadership practices that attracts and retains high quality staff.


Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

Certificate 4 in Disability or Community Sector Management

Recognized experience and knowledge in the field of disability with high level competencies in areas of behavior management and high medical needs.

You will be required to be Epilepsy trained with Midazolam training
Mental health experience - understanding of Bipolar and ADHD
Autism experience
Ability to follow behavior support plans
Ability to follow care plans
Demonstrated experience leading a team
Current Full Victorian Driver's License
Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
Experience in personal care and happy for this to be part of your job
The capacity to meet the physical requirements of the job that may include manual handling tasks
Some flexibility may be required over a 2 week roster
Administrative skills,experience in client management systems, daily recording

To be considered for and appointed to a position at JDC Support you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of (2 doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate.

You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.

Hours of work:

3 shifts per week:

Daily start: 5pm

plus sleepover 11pm to 7am

shift finishes 9am following morning

Plus:
Every second Sunday same hours

leading to every Sunday after probation period 2 months
