About the role
Our client is a multinational food company, selling into major retailers across Australia and internationally.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an NPD Partnerto join their Brisbane-based team.
Reporting to the National NPD Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include:
Working closely with the NPD team, Operations, Sales, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Suppliers, Technical and Marketing to develop new products;
Drive product development stage gate process throughout the business to implement projects;
Build knowledge for future product development with a focus on working with the NPD team to achieve this;
Build a database for new technology with the intent to implement in future projects;
Prioritize work schedule to ensure that tasks are completed within agreed timeframes;
Ensure legal compliance is maintained across all processes, ingredients and labelling within the New Product Development lifecycle.
Skills & Experience
To be successful for this role, you will possess the following:
Degree qualified with relevant food technology experience;
You will have experience working in a food research and development role;
Experience in the meat and poultry industry would be advantageous but not essential;
Remain aware of emerging trends, tools and technologies within the food industry;
Able to think outside the box;
Ability to work successfully across all levels of the business to drive product development process;
Comfortable in a hands-on role to develop products in pilot plant and factory environments;
Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills;
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;
Able to work on own initiative and as a team player Apply
