The opportunity:


At Visy Recycling, we collect, and sort recovered recyclable materials - such as paper, cardboard, glass, plastics, and metals - and then we process these materials, maximising what we can re-make into sustainable packaging, predominantly within our own, local manufacturing operations.

We process recyclable materials recovered from more than 3 million households and workplaces each year. This scale significantly contributes positive impacts for the environment.

Reporting to the Site Manager and based at either Coolaroo or Reservoir, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Operating the baler and/or guillotine to prepare stock
  • Unloading trucks in safe and timely manner
  • Placing stock in the yard
  • Conducting quality checks and ensuring quality standards are met
  • Conducting audits

What you will bring to the team:

You don't need to have previous experience in a similar position, however, to be successful in this role you must have a strong safety awareness and attention to detail.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can keep your cool under pressure and you enjoy learning new skills.

Your proactive approach makes you a great team player and you are passionate about making sure the job is done right the first time and every time.

A current forklift licence is essential.
