About the role:

This newly created position will provide leadership to our growing Industrial Support team. This is a permanent full-time position based in our Sydney CBD Office. The standard office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm.

The Industrial Support Team Leader is a dynamic role with diverse responsibilities as outlined below.


If you are an experienced leader that is passionate about supporting workers' rights and have expertise in industrial relations, this is the role for you.


Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring Industrial Services Officers, including providing feedback on performance, industrial advice, assistance with workload management, and developing their industrial skills and expertise.
  • Assisting the leadership of the Union in the delivery of the HSU vision and goals.
  • Deliver reporting on team performance and outcomes.
  • Individual member support and case management entailing providing sound advice on noncomplex dispute resolution as required.
  • Investigating and resolving member complaints.
  • Provide information to members in regard to the organisation's benefits, policies, and procedures.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a leadership position involving mentoring and workload organisation.
  • An indepth knowledge of relevant state and federal health awards and legislation.
  • High organisation and prioritisation skills and able to perform multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and an effective team player.
  • Ability to positively contribute to a supportive, open atmosphere and team environment.

HSU Head Office Sydney CBD

Remuneration:

- $95, % (12% for females) Employee Superannuation Contributions
