Anglicare NSW South, NSW West & ACT (Anglicare) is a trauma-informed, Sanctuary agency who are seeking an ITC House Manager.


This role is responsible for supervising, supporting and providing trauma informed therapeutic care for young people with medium to high needs in a residential care setting and to guide their transition to permanent care placements.

ITC House Manager will provide ongoing support services to young people and care team to ensure high quality therapeutic care provided to children and young people in the ITC Home.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the House Manager will be responsible for:

  • Work collaboratively with the Therapeutic Specialist and the ITC Case Manager to ensure young people's Care Plans and Therapeutic Support plans facilitate their participation in activities and experiences that enhance developmental, cultural, social and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Host monthly individual supervision of staff, team meeting and attend operations and contractual meetings. Direct, motivate and train a team through personal example while ensuring a productive team environment.
  • Maintain rostering to ensure staff consistency and responsiveness to the therapeutic needs of young people including addressing primary needs for safety and stability.
  • Oversite daily reporting requirements, record keeping and required written reports.
This role is a full-time opportunity on a permanent contract. It offers a flexible working arrangement but will involve supervision to take place in the ITC homes.

About You:

  • Bachelor Degree in social work, psychology or related discipline or working towards.
  • Demonstrated experience in cultural strengthsbased practice with Aboriginal people, families and communities
  • Demonstrated ability to work with children and young people with complex care needs
  • Ability to oversee staff and support staff in a therapeutic care framework
  • Competent knowledge and understanding of NSW Child Protection legislation and PSP standards
  • High level knowledge of intergenerational trauma and culturally safe practice
