About the Role


UniSA is seeking an Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for undertaking a range of administrative services to support the teaching and research activities for UniSA STEM and for the provision of high-level customer service to key stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

  • Undertake finance administration for the Unit and ensure compliance with the University's Finance policy framework and UniSA STEM's finance procedures
  • Generate transaction reports from the University's Finance system for cost centre managers. Provide information to staff to enable understanding of relevant University and Unit finance guidelines and processes, and provide support to staff in the use of the University's ProMaster system, as required
  • Undertake purchases within the University's delegated authorisations as a University Accredited Purchasing Officer
  • Act as a local area reference point for the Unit Travel team to assist in the resolution of issues relating to travel and accommodation arrangements

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Successful completion of the South Australian Certificate of Education (or equivalent), or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
  • Previous experience in a reception or administrative position involving the provision of highquality customer service to key stakeholders both within and external to an organisation
  • Understanding of finance administration including reconciliations, accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Demonstrated experience in using all programs in the Microsoft Office suite and a corporate information system
  • Proven organisational skills, including experience in prioritising and meeting deadlines
