About the Role


The Associate Director Ministerial and Parliamentary Services is responsible for leading and managing the efficient and effective delivery of the Destination NSW Ministerial and Parliamentary Services function.

The role manages a small team of staff to develop and deliver a comprehensive suite of Ministerial and Parliamentary Services to support the achievement of the Government's visitor economy objectives.

This is a Clerk Grade 11/12 position with a base salary commencing at $139,787 plus superannuation.

Essential Requirement

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
  • Willingness and ability to work out of hours and be available on call, as required

Key knowledge and experience

  • Extensive experience and knowledge of the machinery of government including parliamentary and Cabinet protocols and processes and the provision of services to ministerial offices
  • Significant experience and demonstrated skills in providing highquality strategic advice and written materials with exceptional attention to detail including but not limited to briefing notes, correspondence, and speeches in a highvolume and fastpaced professional environment
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives
  • Excellent issues and time management skills with the capacity to manage complex and timesensitive issues
