Associate Director - Audit & Assurance

The Opportunity
Nexia Sydney is expanding, and we are looking to bring on a new Audit Associate Director.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior Audit professional looking to take the next step in their career.


The role

  • Manage multiple engagements at the same time
  • Plan audit assignments and coordinate training and development
  • Finalise and review audits at a high quality for Partner review
  • Identify risks in audit, engagement, litigation and ethics in a changing environment
  • Manage team performance
  • Lead the team to reach their full potential
  • Actively participate and support Partners in the conduct of:
  • Tenders
  • Special assignments and reports
  • Practice development
  • Client account management
  • Networking and identify business development opportunities


The Associate Director is expected to develop opportunities through individual and firm contacts in order to expand the client base.


About you

  • Have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a Chartered firm including a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Senior Audit Manager
  • Have completed a post graduate qualification, e.g. the CA program
  • Expert understanding of accounting standards and reporting responsibilities, with the ability to pass this knowledge onto others
  • Able to use advanced analytical techniques
  • Excellent negotiation skills;
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
