About the Role
The Associate Director Visitor Economy Policy is responsible for leading and managing the preparation of an evidence-based visitor economy policy program, including the research, planning and preparation of strategy documents, new policy proposals, and destination management plans to support the Government's visitor economy objectives.
The role manages a team of staff in the development and delivery of policy analysis and stakeholder engagement, to deliver projects and initiatives that support the NSW Visitor Economy Strategy 2030.
Essential Requirement
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
- Willingness and ability to work out of hours and to be available on call, as required
Key knowledge and experience
- Significant experience and demonstrated skills in managing all aspects of policy research, development, review, and evaluation in a stakeholderrich, multidisciplinary environment
- Relevant experience and knowledge in delivering government policy initiatives and legislative reform
- Highlevel understanding of the machinery of government and of Cabinet and parliamentary
- Excellent issues management skills with the capacity to manage complex and timesensitive issues
