About the role


The Principal Global Mobility is responsible for establishing and managing our Global Mobility program and managing activities for assignees globally.

The role will require providing advice to key stakeholders on mobility program operations and ensure compliance with global laws and regulations.


  • Design and develop Global Mobility strategies and processes
  • Provide critical support and advice to the business and assignees on technical aspects of global mobility, stay abreast of any new industry challenges, changes, and trends. Monitor region specific country immigration legislation changes and market trends
  • Manage, monitor and complete complex compliance tasks (immigration, tax equalisation etc). Develop practical solutions to complex and sometimes unforeseen challenges associated with Global Mobility
  • Coordinate initiations and service delivery with external providers for destination services, tax and immigration advice
  • Coordinate expat payroll instructions (prepared externally) and manage deadlines for payments
  • Conduct contract and mobility document reviews
  • Research, develop, and lead the design and implementation of bestinclass Mobility programs that serves Mineral Resources talent needs
  • Support stakeholders through the mobility process, resolving problems and providing advice. Conduct expat briefings and expat checkin calls. Support the rollout of the new mobility policies and processes.
  • Participate in the delivery of Reward Projects as required
  • Work as part of a large, integrated People & Capability team and collaborate effectively to ensure we achieve the best business outcomes

  • Specific experience in relocations, assignments, immigration and tax while working crossfunctionally with HR, Legal, business stakeholders and professional services firms
  • Experience shaping Global Mobility policies, procedures and strategies
