Mills Recruitment is excited to partner with a prominent company specializing in tailored fabrication solutions for electronic and mechanical projects. We are in search of a proactive Production Manager to join their skilled and seasoned management team.
Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and establish systems to meet contractual and company requirements.
  • Supervise daily operations of the manufacturing team, covering stores, sheet metal fabrication, electrical switchboard assembly, switchroom construction and fit-out, electrical testing, and site works.
  • Effectively plan and allocate resources in a fast-paced setting with competing demands.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks related to production and timely project delivery.
  • Regularly report on manufacturing progress compared to set targets.
  • Introduce innovative production techniques (e.g., 5S & Lean) and equipment to improve efficiency, manufacturing capacity, and performance, fostering a culture of continuous enhancement.
  • Inspire, coach, and motivate staff to nurture existing talent.
  • Collaborate closely with HR and leaders to acquire and develop new talent.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering/Design and/or an Electrical Trade related background.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in production or construction management and/or in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Firm grasp of electrical testing, inspection and verification standards, client scopes, and specifications.
  • Strong skills in schematic, control, and single-line drawing, with some electrical design proficiency.
  • Extensive experience in overseeing regulatory compliance procedures.
  • Effective problem-solving and creative capabilities, with the capacity for sound judgment and timely decision-making.
  • Thorough comprehension of best practices and methods in production planning.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, specifically Microsoft Office.
  • Desirable experience in switchboard and/or switchroom manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Encouragement for holders of Electrical Nominee and/or Electrical Contractors Licenses to apply.
