Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics) Viewscape is one of the largest wholesale manufacturers of indoor blinds, outdoor awnings and shutters in Australia - specialising in delivering high volume, customised products to retailers.
We are now seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our established team in this important role within the business.

Viewscape is a progressive Australian owned manufacturing wholesaler of over 40 years in the window furnishings industry distributing nationally Our vision is to enhance our retail partners' businesses and client experience is at the core of what we do We have extremely high staff retention rates and you have long term career opportunities with us Our focus is on high-quality product and bullet proof reliability We are seeking a capable, resilient person with industry or allied industry experience The opportunity: Manage around 90 production staff across two shifts in conjunction with departmental team leaders to optimise workflow and meet production targets Implement & drive LEAN philosophy and methodologies through the business, as well as 5 S, Kanban & Continuous Improvement Thorough capacity planning on a weekly and day-to-day basis, including managing skill availability across departments and stations Produce productivity and other reporting for management and other key staff Ensure quality standards are upheld internally and support a quality culture Driving OHS initiatives, meeting legislative requirements, promoting a strong safety culture Develop existing team leaders further and promote a team-based culture and high communication quality Conduct performance reviews and manage culture with HR support Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders in all departments Skills & attributes required:5 years' experience in a production management role5 S philosophy and understanding of LEANExperience spearheading OHS initiatives and a high level of diligence around safety Proven history implementing strategies to manage a diverse group of staff across diverse workstations Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment and willing to embrace change Delegation, negotiation, conflict management and leadership skills Intermediate Excel skills and ability to identify trends Ability to solve problems and think outside the box Will assess the situation and ask questions Very strong attention to detail Excellent time and priority management Ability to work with other functions through effective communication skills Friendly, personable and gets along with other staff What you'll get in return: An attractive salary package Long term job security Excellent opportunity to work with a hardworking and supportive team A job that is different every day Reporting to the General Manager, you'll work directly with production department staff and Team Leaders and in collaboration with other departments to manage operational flow.
