An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven Transport Coordinator to join our National Sales division until 31st December 2024.


The National Sales Division is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of all national vehicle sales, fleet, integrated planning, and logistics activities to achieve vehicle sales volume, market share and profitability objectives.


The Transport Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating the operations of domestic vehicle transport and support the movement of Toyota vehicles nationally, to achieve vehicle sales volume, market share and profitability objectives.

This role is based in Port Melbourne with flexible work arrangements on offer.


How you'll make an impact- Implement agreed National Logistics processes and procedures consistent with set policies to achieve Supply Chain & Logistics objectives.- Contribute to the development and implementation of control systems and processes (including IT) to increase the efficiency of the Toyota supply chain, to ensure that the right vehicle is in the right place, at the right time.- Support the monitoring and analysis of logistics data and reporting to ensure the link between build and transport is maximised.

Support the implementation and promotion of new transport systems and ideas and continuous improvement activities to support National Sales targets.- Act as a key contact for stakeholders in relation to vehicle logistics and delivery activities, resolve queries and issues, to achieve delivery targets.- Support the development of regional transport plans and priorities to contribute to guest satisfaction and align delivery timeframes to the overall objectives of National Sales.- Support the coordination of domestic logistics forums to ensure that transport and delivery plans, progress and issues are clearly communicated to all stakeholders.


Your attributes - If you've got one or more, we'd love to hear from you- Proven experience and background in supply chain and logistics.- Experience with reporting and analysing data.- Supplier management and background in automotive (desirable)- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPS & Pivot tables) and SAP (desirable).- Excellent communication skills and a self-starter with good attention to detail.- Ability to travel to national sites as required.
