The Role


You will effectively manage Sanitarium's revenue and profitability budgeted targets for key Distributors/Wholesalers who Sanitarium has chosen to partner with and that services our channel specific brands across the Energy & Convenience channel.

The revenue growth is to be achieved within cost budgets and with the expectation of exceptional customer centric service.

The role also requires the development and implementation of Business Plans for each key customer, which is planned to drive profitable growth across key Sanitarium brands within their business and channels they service.

Pivotal to this role is the ability to positively contribute to our constructive culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implement Sales strategies within designated portfolio to achieve business goals of sales in line with trade spend and Profit targets.
  • Manage the Distributors & Wholesalers and key contacts/decision makers, whether it be at Head Office or at Warehouse Member level.
  • Implement approved Business Plans.
  • Develop and Implement Distributor/Wholesaler Specific Plans to achieve promotional, ranging, pricing, and sales goals by activation.
  • Maintain contact with key decision makers within the designated portfolio and negotiate on Sanitarium's behalf.
  • Negotiate approved promotional programs and product ranging.
  • Forecasting of the Demand Planning signal for all Distributors/Wholesalers ensuring product availability across the Distributor/Wholesaler network.
  • Ensure that the Trade fund management process, procedures, and reports are implemented and followed for given categories.
  • Deliver Sales targets to Budget.
  • Manage Trade Spend and Ops funds to Budget.

Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years proven experience in a Sales role (Field, Brand, Category Management or Online).
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of the convenience and route channels, especially the distributors/wholesalers in this channel.
  • A proven track record in account management, business development and relationship building.
  • Sound understanding of and demonstrated commitment to all legislation relating to Sanitarium Health Food Company and all activities undertaken in your role including meeting ACCC regulatory requirements.
  • Tertiary or education in Sales/Marketing/Finance or equivalent is desirable.
