The Town Centre Coordinator is a key conduit between business & community stakeholders in the town centres, and Central Coast Council.

This role provides an opportunity to impact town centre success through working closely with stakeholders on events, activations, infrastructure improvements and other projects which encourage visitation, and drive commercial outcomes.


This role requires great relationship management skills, commercial nous and the ability to work closely with a range of community and business partners to deliver a wide range of local projects & initiatives.


Key activities include

  • Working closely with community and business partners in the Town Centres to resolve issues, oversee scheduled maintenance and ensure Town Centres are safe, vibrant and inviting spaces for residents and visitors
  • Developing and implementing projects such as new or upgraded infrastructure and manage associated project budgets
  • Developing and maintaining to a high level cooperative relationships between Central Coast Council, and Town Centre stakeholders including, but not limited to, community, small businesses and other government bodies
  • Engaging with stakeholders to develop and implement placemaking projects to attract increased patronage within Town Centres and support the development, growth and sustainability of local businesses.

_About You_

  • Ideally holding degree qualifications in Business, Project Management or Community Development, you bring solid experience in public space placemaking initiatives or other relevant small business development activities
  • You have sound project management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and problem solve to ensure project success
  • Your interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills are key strengths
  • You have, or are willing to obtain, a current Working with Children check
  • You hold a current Class C Drivers Licence.

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $79.3k to $95.2k per annum + 10.5% superannuation.

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role,
with flexible/hybrid working arrangements available.
